Coldplay and Bruno Mars honour Amy Winehouse at iHeartRadio

Coldplay and Bruno Mars paid tribute to tragic soul star Amy Winehouse on Friday (23Sep11), during their sets at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas.

Rapper Jay-Z headlined the first night of the musical extravaganza at the MGM Grand in Sin City, performing hits like 99 Problems and inviting Alicia Keys onstage for their Empire State of Mind collaboration.

But the most poignant moment of the night came when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin asked fans in the packed arena to sing along with him on Amy Winehouse's hit Rehab, which the band has been performing at recent concerts.

Bruno Mars remembered Amy Winehouse by performing her track Valerie with a brass quartet, as he did at the MTV Video Music Awards last month (Aug11).

The two-night festival also featured sets from Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Lady Gaga, who ended the event by performing a duet with Sting.
