Cobie Smulders reveals she was a new year new mum

The Avengers star Cobie Smulders is a new mum after welcoming her second child with funnyman Taran Killam at the beginning of the year (15).

The couple quietly welcomed another member to the family and kept the big news under wraps until Sunday (25Jan15), when Smulders attended the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

The former How I Met Your Mother star was on hand to promote her new film Unexpected, in which she plays a pregnant teacher, and told Bustle.com that she related to her character since she recently welcomed her own little one.

She said, "I'm in Sundance and I have a three-week-old baby, so I can certainly relate. It's my world at the moment, and it's just so prevalent in the world today. I'm very lucky where I have a great career and a huge support system and not every woman has that. It's an interesting film because it shows both of those sides."

The 32 year old confirmed her pregnancy in October (14).

Smulders wed Killam in September, 2012. They are already parents to daughter Shaelyn Cado, five.
