Ciara was an emotional wreck writing Sorry

Ciara was so overwhelmed while working on her latest single Sorry, she broke down in tears as she wrote the heartfelt track.

The singer is rumoured to have composed the apology song for ex-boyfriend 50 Cent, and admits she was an emotional wreck as she put her feelings into words.

She tells VH1's Big Morning Buzz, "It was inspired by someone that I really loved and cared for. It was my way of saying something to him that I never got to say. It was like my letter and just me really crying out. I literally cried writing the record. I literally felt exactly what I was saying. That was the result of that emotion."

Host Carrie Keagan then asked if the hit was about the rapper and pointed out he had tweeted "OK, I'm sorry" when the record came out.

Ciara giggled nervously but refused to confirm the speculation, adding, "I was always so protective and very guarded when I first started, and on this record I really was comfortable being vulnerable. I let go and I didn't care what I was saying."
