Christina Milian heading to The Rocky Horror Picture Show remake
Singer/actress Christina Milian has been added to the cast of the upcoming The Rocky Horror Picture Show TV remake.
The Dip It Low singer will play mad maid Magenta, who runs oddball, cross-dressing alien Dr. Frank N. Furter's spooky castle with her brother Riff Raff, played by actor Reeve Carney, while secretly plotting to return to their native planet of Transsexual.
Magenta was originally portrayed by Patricia Quinn in the 1975 cult
movie musical, and although Milian has had success both as a
recording artist and in various acting roles, this is her first
time delving into a musical.
She joins an already star-studded cast, featuring Laverne Cox as
Dr. Frank-N-Furter, as well as Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan,
Adam Lambert and original Rocky Horror star Tim Curry, who will
take on the role of the criminologist narrator.
High School Musical director Kenny Ortega is set to produce, direct
and choreograph the new project, which will premiere this autumn
(16).
