Christina Aguilera honored for hunger relief work
Christina Aguilera was honored for her philanthropy by Secretary of State Hilary Clinton at the 2012 George McGovern Leadership Award Ceremony on Wednesday (03Oct12).
The Voice judge was the guest of honor at The State Department event in Washington, D.C. and was lauded for her work with the United Nations World Hunger Relief, which has raised $115 million to help feed starving children around the world.
Hilary Clinton thanked Christina Aguilera for her efforts, before
the singer joined in a round table talk with Yum! Brand boss David
Novak, whose company launched the drive, and Agency for
International Development administrator Raj Shah, to discuss how
the campaign can go even further to tackle hunger in impoverished
nations.
Before the event, Christina Aguilera tweeted, "In DC for the George
