Chris Pratt surprises young cancer survivor with hospital visit
Actor Chris Pratt surprised a young girl recovering from leukemia on Thursday (15Jan15) by paying her a visit at the Children's Hospital of Orange County in Southern California.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star stopped by the medical facility to check in on little Emma, after learning she had recently beaten cancer, and was rewarded with a picture she had painted for him.
Sharing a snap of the encounter and the gift on Facebook.com, Pratt
writes, "After a long battle with childhood leukemia, Emma is going
home cancer free!!! Atta girl! You kicked cancer's butt!!! Thank
you to Children's Hospital Orange County for setting up an amazing
visit and to Emma for my wonderful painting."
Pratt also brought toys and other presents for the rest of the
patients.
The actor previously treated a group of sick kids at the Children's
Hospital Los Angeles to a screening of Guardians of the Galaxy in
August (14), and dressed up as his character Star-Lord.
