Chris Brown facing child services investigation

Singer Chris Brown received a visit from a child service official on Thursday (22Sep16) as part of an ongoing assault investigation.

Los Angeles Police Department detectives are still looking into allegations the Kiss Kiss hitmaker pulled a gun on model Baylee Curran and threatened her during a reported incident at his Tarzana, California mansion in late August (16).

He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, and had been due to appear for an arraignment hearing on Tuesday (20Sep16), but the court date was postponed to give cops more time to investigate the case.

Chris has maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal, but sources suspect his ex, model Nia Guzman, filed a complaint against the singer in light of the allegations, amid concerns for the safety of their two-year-old daughter Royalty, according to TMZ.com.

An investigator from the Department of Children & Family Services stopped by Brown's home on Thursday with a member of the LAPD in tow to check on the little girl's well-being while she was in the care of her father. However, it's claimed Chris was so incensed with the visit, he refused to allow the officials into his home, with insiders asserting he kept his security gate closed, forcing investigators to wait outside his property.

The news emerges hours after it was revealed Brown had been forced to postpone a pair of upcoming concerts in Japan after his visa was denied as a result of his ongoing legal drama and his previous run-ins with the law.

He was scheduled to play at the Tokyo International Forum on 26 and 27 September (16) but the dates will now be rescheduled, according to a statement issued by promoters at Creativeman Productions.

Chris was most recently denied a visa to tour Australia in December (15) due to his assault conviction for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
