Carly Rae Jepsen busks for cash

Carly Rae Jepsen stunned fans in Santa Monica, California last week (ends29Jan16) when she hit the streets for a busking gig.

The Call Me Maybe singer, who starred in the hit Grease: Live TV event on Sunday (31Jan16), performed her hits with a guitarist pal as onlookers first ignored her and then slowly started to realise they were watching a real-life pop star.

Carly Rae's street gig was capture on camera for comedy sketch website FunnyOrDie.com and the skit went viral on Wednesday (03Feb16).

The singer and her musician friend raised $35 and she was more than impressed with her windfall, which she donated to another busking duo within earshot.

Talking to the camera at the end of her busking bit, Carly Rae said, "$35 is dinner, so I figure I'm gonna do this nightly now."
