Carey Mulligan wins at Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year awards

British actress Carey Mulligan was honoured with an Inspiration Award at the 2014 Women of the Year ceremony hosted by U.K. Harper's Bazaar magazine on Tuesday night (04Nov14).

The Great Gatsby star was handed the accolade during the glitzy bash at Claridge's Hotel in London in recognition of her role in West End play Skylight and her work with the War Child charity.

The Wolf of Wall Street star Margot Robbie was named Breakthrough of the Year while Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie took home the British Actress of the Year award.

Newly-engaged Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch won the Man of the Year prize while model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, British singer Jessie Ware and fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg were also honoured.

Guests at the bash included Victoria Beckham, Blondie's Debbie Harry, Mulligan's musician husband Marcus Mumford, model Suki Waterhouse and pop star Ellie Goulding.
