Carey Mulligan knocked herself out dancing in The Great Gatsby
Actress Carey Mulligan was so determined to overcome her fear of dancing on the set of The Great Gatsby, she threw herself into a party scene and ended up knocking herself out on a camera.
The British star, who is married to folk rocker Marcus Mumford, has shown off her moves in films like An Education and The Great Gatsby, but she reveals her footwork is far from fancy in real life and she actually hurt herself while trying to dance on the set of the 2013 period drama.
She says, "I dread it (dancing). I've got two left feet. Actually I
had to dance in The Great Gatsby and I danced into a camera and was
knocked out!
"I was just like, 'OK, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna go for it, I'm
gonna really dance.' So I went for it and I started spinning... and
there was this enormous camera and I was just... really doing it,
Charleston-ing or whatever, and I just went straight into it (the
camera). I saw Tobey (Maguire) and Leo (DiCaprio) running towards
me and they sent me home."
