Cara Delevingne named as the face of Puma's 'DO YOU' campaign
Supermodel-turned-actress Cara Delevingne has signed on as the spokesperson for sportswear brand Puma's empowering new 'DO YOU' campaign.
The Suicide Squad star shows off her unique tattoos, toned abs and sparkling personality while wearing sports bras, caps, crop tops, jogging sweatpants, yoga tights and other athletic clothing in photos for the label's latest marketing venture.
And speaking about her collaboration with Puma, Cara revealed she
wanted to be part of the company's 'DO YOU' campaign because of the
positive message it delivers to fans.
"To 'DO YOU' is to take ownership of yourself and finding the power
within that ownership - it's a very powerful statement," she tells
the UK's Daily Mail. "It's about accepting who you are, no matter
your faults. 'DO YOU' is about finding your truth and sticking to
it.
"I think it's so special because it means something different for
everyone. It specifically encourages people to be themselves."
To heighten the message of authentic self-expression even further,
makeup artists for Cara's 'DO YOU' shoot chose to minimize the
amount of face paint they applied to the star, making sure the
24-year-old's fresh face glowed in the images.
Puma has recruited several other dynamic women as spokespersons for
the campaign, including dancers Mimi Staker and Olivia Boisson of
the New York City Ballet, Cuban volleyball players Leila Consuelo
Ortega Martinez and Lianma Flores Stable, and German track and
field athletes Alexandra Wester and Tatjana Pinto.
Puma's 'DO YOU' scheme was reportedly inspired by Rihanna, who is
presenting her new apparel collaboration with the sportswear brand
at Paris Fashion Week at the close of the month (Sep16).
The Diamonds singer revealed to Vogue.com her Spring 2017 Fenty x
Puma collection show will take place on Wednesday 28 September
(16).
