Pop star Camila Cabello has sparked rumours she is collaborating with her friend Taylor Swift's former rival Diplo.

The DJ and producer documented his night in the recording studio on Wednesday (30Mar16) via popular mobile app Snapchat, and making an unexpected appearance in one of his shared videos was Fifth Harmony star Camila.

In one clip, the singer plays a cover of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car on guitar, and in another, she stands at a microphone whisper-singing "Major Lazer", the name of Diplo's electronic music group.

The collaboration comes nearly a year-and-a-half after Diplo sparked an online feud with Camila's good friend Taylor, suggesting someone should "make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty."

The two settled their minor fall-out at a Grammy Awards afterparty in 2015.
