David Beckham shows off angelic new tattoo

David Beckham has added to his body of art.

The former soccer stud has revealed his latest tattoo of a pair of cherubs on his ankle.

Beckham showed off his latest ink on Instagram on Wednesday (30Mar16), revealing the tattoo was etched by renowned artist Mark Mahoney of Shamrock Social Club.

"Always nice to sit and listen to Mark's conversation for five hours whilst watching him work," David wrote in a caption. "True artist."

The significance of the angels on his ankle is not yet known, but last year (15), the sportsman and model revealed his four kids have helped design some of his most recent tattoos.

A phrase on his ribcage was designed by his three sons, Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn, while daughter Harper drew a stick figure and a heart, which David had inked on his hand.
