Calvin Harris to resume Las Vegas residency on Thursday - report
DJ Calvin Harris is expected to return to work in Las Vegas on Thursday (26May16) after recovering from a Friday night (20May16) car crash.
Taylor Swift's boyfriend had to pull out of a gig at Sin City club OMNIA at the last minute after he was hospitalized following the accident in near Beverly Hills, California. He was treated for a cut on his nose, but was advised to rest up, prompting him to cancel his headline set at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, on Saturday (21May16) and return to his Beverly Hills home.
However, the Scottish hitmaker, real name Adam Wiles, is said to be
recuperating well.
A source tells E! News Calvin was "in shock" immediately after the
SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) he was a passenger in collided with an
oncoming car, which had swerved into their lane, but he is now
"doing better".
"He is keeping an eye on his body to make sure he is 100 per cent
this week," the insider adds, revealing Calvin called Taylor
shortly after the incident to alert her to the news and assure her
he was OK.
The source continues, "He didn't want to alarm (her)... She was
very caring when they connected on the phone."
Calvin has yet to cancel any more DJ gigs, and he is set to resume
his residency at Vegas club Hakkasan on Thursday, reports NME.com.
He also remains scheduled to return to OMNIA nightclub on Friday
(27May16).
A representative for the 32-year-old has yet to confirm the
news.
Police have identified the other driver in the collision as a
teenage girl, who lost control of her Volkswagen Beetle on a narrow
road. She was ejected from her vehicle and suffered a broken
pelvis, but is expected to make a full recovery.
