Calvin Harris and Ryan Tedder not involved in 'leaked' track
DJ Calvin Harris and Onerepublic frontman Ryan Tedder have distanced themselves from a "leaked" song purported to be their new collaboration.
Fans thought the two acts had united in the studio for Walking On the Sun, which emerged online on Tuesday (31May16) and had already been tipped by bloggers as a summer smash.
However, singer Ryan promptly took to Twitter to alert fans to the
mix-up, insisting he has had nothing to do with the tune.
"FYI (for your information) to whoever leaked the '@CalvinHarris
featuring OneRepublic' song- It ain't me singing," he wrote. "Would
gladly collab in the future but it's fake (sic)".
Moments later, Calvin also dismissed reports the new track was his
as he reposted Ryan's tweet and added his own comment.
"Btw (by the way) it's def (sic) not my music either...," he
remarked, before giving his pal a shout out, adding, "big up
Ryan".
Calvin recently released his first new song of the year, This Is
What You Came For featuring Rihanna, which is thought to be the
first single from his forthcoming album, the follow up to 2014's
Motion.
Taylor Swift's boyfriend has been keeping a low profile in the past
couple of weeks after he was involved in a car accident in Beverly
Hills, California on 20 May (16). The collision, which left him
with a laceration on his nose, has prompted the DJ to cancel four
gigs to date as he continues to recover from the incident.
He has yet to announce his live return, although he took to
SnapChat on Monday (30May16) to reveal he had since traveled back
to his native U.K.
