Britney Spears pranks comedian with late night bedroom performance
Britney Spears gave chat show host Jimmy Kimmel a rude awakening earlier this week (beg01Aug16) when she performed a Private Show in his bedroom.
Following in the footsteps of Rihanna, who pranked the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host with a midnight performance of B**ch Better Have My Money on April Fools Day last year (01Apr15), Britney sneaked into his house in Los Angeles as part of a joke organized by the comedian's wife Molly McNearney.
A sneak peak of the prank, which will air on Kimmel's show on
Wednesday night (03Aug16), was shown on Good Morning America.
In the footage, Spears surprises Kimmel in his bedroom with a
performance of her new single Make Me alongside five male backup
dancers.
"Sorry for the rude awakening @jimmykimmel," fun-loving Britney
tweeted on Wednesday, the same day she announced details of her
ninth album, which also features her new single Private Show.
The record, titled Glory, will be released on 28 August (16).
Spears announced the news on Twitter, insisting the new album would
mark "the beginning of a new era".
