Britney Spears: 'I've been in horrible relationships'
Britney Spears is still open to a new romance despite her "horrible" dating history.
The Pretty Girls star dated fellow singer Justin Timberlake from 1999 to 2002 and wed childhood friend Jason Alexander for only 55 hours in 2004. She subsequently married her former backup dancer Kevin Federline and became engaged to her former manager Jason Trawick in 2011.
Despite her string of failed relationships, Britney insists she is
still a "hopeless romantic" and still "believes in love."
"I think you should protect your heart and stuff like that," she
tells Australian radio show Rove & Sam. "But yeah I am a hopeless
romantic. I believe in love. I like cheesy. I think cheesy is so
sweet and nice."
While the singer is still hoping to find love, she is not focused
on dating.
"I'm not looking for a man at the moment," Britney told E! News in
June (16). "My boys are my heart."
The singer, who shares two sons with Federline, has been quiet on
the romance front recently, following her breakup from boyfriend of
eight months, Charlie Ebersol in June 2015.
However, Britney will be keeping busy for the next year after
returning to the stage at the Planet Hollywood resort in Las Vegas
in June (16). The return came as the singer announced she was
extending her residency, revealing that her show will now run until
February (17).
She also released comeback single Make Me last month (Jul16) and it
shot to the top of the U.S. iTunes single sales chart just hours
after its debut.
