Bobbi Kristina Brown's initial autopsy inconclusive
An initial autopsy into the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown has proved inconclusive as coroners continue to investigate her cause of death.
The only child of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown died on Sunday (26Jun15), aged 22, after her family decided to take her off life support, almost six months after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bath tub at her Roswell, Georgia home.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner in Georgia is investigating the
aspiring actress' passing as a "known or suspected non-natural
death", but early autopsy results failed to highlight an obvious
cause of death.
A statement issued by representatives at the Fulton County Medical
Examiner's Office on Monday (27Jul15) reads: "The initial portion
of the autopsy has been completed. The autopsy does not show an
obvious underlying cause of death and no significant injuries were
noted. No previously unknown medical conditions that could have
contributed to death were identified."
Officials add, "We do not plan to complete the death certificate or
determine a cause and manner of death until all test results are
completed and all investigative, medical, and other documentary
records are received and thoroughly reviewed. We anticipate that
these processes will take several weeks."
Meanwhile, a memorial service is expected to take place in Atlanta,
Georgia, before her body is flown to New Jersey to be buried next
to her mother at Fairview Cemetery, where Houston was laid to rest
next to her father, John Russell Houston.
Houston died in similar circumstances in the bathroom of a Beverly
Hills hotel suite in 2012, with heart disease and cocaine use
listed as contributing factors.
