Blake Shelton comes to the rescue of stranded motorist
Country singer Blake Shelton has been hailed a hero after coming to the rescue of two men stuck in a mudslide.
The star was driving through his native Oklahoma on Friday (13Nov15) when he spotted two stranded men looking for help near the Washita River in Ardmore, and stopped to give them a lift.
"Me and my buddies were checking out the river, when some of my
buddies slid into a big mud hold and got stuck for about two
hours," Bryar Blanton tells Entertainment Tonight. "Me and (fellow
passenger) Adrian started walking down the road (looking for help)
and Blake and his dog, Betty, stopped and picked us up in his
truck.
"Then, we went back to the river and he tried to get them (two men
in the truck) out with his truck. He couldn't do it, so he said he
would be back in 15 minutes with his tractor. I was just like,
'Heck yeah!' and asked him for a photo with us. He lives about 45
minutes from me."
"If it wasn't for Blake, I would have been out there for countless
hours," Bryar adds.
He also took to Twitter to reiterate his gratitude to Shelton,
sharing a picture of three of the men with the star, writing, "Just
wanna thank you for helping us yesterday man."
The singer shared the Tweet and replied, "No problem... Now you
boys stay outta jail!!! Ha!!!"
