Beyonce's Formation tour microphone scores $11,000 at auction

A microphone Beyonce used during her Formation World Tour last year (16) has sold at auction for $11,000 .

The microphone, which was also used during the Drunk in Love hitmaker's performance at the Grammys earlier this year (17), was auctioned off at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles over the weekend (29-30Apr17). The bash was held at the California African American Museum to raise funds for the new WACO (Where Art Can Occur) Theater Center, which Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, recently co-founded with her husband, actor Richard Lawson.

Cece Hendricks bought the microphone after losing out on a V.I.P. package to Coachella next year (18), when Beyonce will headline the music festival. She was originally set to perform at last month's (Apr17) double-weekend event in Indio, California, but had to pull out as she is heavily pregnant with twins.

According to TMZ, the microphone shows signs of wear and Hendricks plans on giving it to her son for his 13th birthday.
