Bella Hadid grateful to share Victoria's Secret Fashion Show stage with ex

Bella Hadid has heaped praise on her ex The Weeknd for helping her feel great on the runway at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in Paris on Wednesday night (30Nov16).

The model made her debut as a Victoria's Secret Angel at the first Fashion Show in Paris - and her former boyfriend was on the catwalk performing as she strutted her stuff.

Now, the day after the big lingerie showcase, Bella is still coming down from the fashion show high and she took to Instagram to thank her ex for being there for her.

"I can't believe it! I was smiling SO HUGE on the inside I promise!!!!," she captioned a shot of her walking down the runway with her ex singing in the background. "The most fun and nerve-racking experience of my life but I wish I could do it over and over and over again!!!!! Thank you @theweeknd for being the best and most incredible performer on the planet. You KILLED it, as always."

She also thanked "the whole VS family" for "believing in me".

Before the event got underway, Bella told Entertainment Tonight that coming face to face with The Weeknd wouldn't be awkward at all, as their break-up had been amicable.

"He's the best, we're still great friends," she explained of their evolved relationship following their break-up in early November (16).

Bella and her sister Gigi made history at this year's (16) Fashion Show, becoming the first siblings to hit the catwalk in the same year.

The taped Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be aired on TV around the world later this month (Dec16).
