Avril Lavigne planning romantic birthday with absent husband

Avril Lavigne is planning a love-in for her birthday on Friday (27Sep13) because she will be spending it with her husband of two months after a long absence.

Nickelback star Chad Kroeger, who wed the singer in July (13), has been performing in South America and his new bride hasn't seen him for a while.

Speaking to E! News at the iHeartRadio Fest in Las Vegas, where she performed on Saturday (21Sep13), Lavigne admitted she cannot wait for the end of the week, when she will turn 29.

She says, "My husband is in South America for the Rock in Rio (festival) with Nickelback and is flying back to L.A. to meet me for my birthday. He gets in the morning of my birthday. We are going to be together. That's all I want for my birthday, I am really excited!"

The Sk8er Boi singer admits life on the road without her husband by her side has been difficult: "He travels a lot and I travel a lot so we just try our best to be together and support each other."
