Authorities decline to pursue drug charges against Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian's estranged husband Lamar Odom has dodged criminal charges following his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel last year (15).

The fallen basketball player was found unconscious at the Love Ranch South brothel on 13 October (15) after suffering a stroke following a drug binge.

He was admitted to a nearby hospital, where his blood tested positive for cocaine, prompting authorities to consider pursuing a count of drug possession against Odom.

The findings were passed to the Nye County District Attorney, who has since declined to press charges, according to TMZ.com. The case is expected to be formally dismissed later this week (begs11Jan16).

It's good news for the sportsman as he continues to recover from his health emergency in Los Angeles. He left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier this month (Jan16) and is now receiving treatment in a private rehabilitation facility.
