Ashton Kutcher quickly agreed with wife Mila Kunis' idea for son's name
Ashton Kutcher and wife Mila Kunis had no trouble agreeing on their baby son's name.
The former That '70s Show co-stars welcomed daughter Wyatt Isabelle in 2014, and a son named Dimitri Portwood last November (16).
When it came to coming up with a moniker for their little boy, Ashton revealed during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday (01May17) that Mila, 33, was keen on the name several months before she gave birth.
"We're on our way to date night, and Mila turns to me and she goes, 'So, I think Donald Trump is going to become the President, and I think our baby's name is Dimitri.' I was like, 'Donald Trump's not going to win the...'" he recalled. "And then I forgot about the name thing because I was like, 'Why do you think Donald Trump is going to win?' I'm telling you, she called it! It's not even a joke."
As it turns out, Mila correctly predicted that Americans would vote for Donald Trump to become the President, and that Ashton would come on board with her name choice.
"Two weeks later. I got home from work, and for some reason the name just stuck in my head. I was like, 'I think Dimitri is the name of the baby.' And she was like, 'I know, right?' 'Yeah, that's it!' So, that's it. And then Trump became President. Everything Mila says is right! She's my wife, so that's just what it is. Everything she says is right," he said.
Ashton, 39, added that Wyatt is loving taking on the role of big sister, and is never jealous of her sibling. Though he also shared that he has a hard time convincing the two-year-old that Dimitri doesn't belong to her.
"Wyatt thinks the baby is her baby, and at some point I'm going to have to explain to her it's not really her baby. I don't know how I'm going to do that. She loves the baby so much," he smiled.
