Ashley Tisdale laughs off wardrobe malfunction

Ashley Tisdale has laughed off her recent wardrobe malfunction, after she was unexpectedly exposed on the red carpet.

The 30-year-old actress was caught off guard when the camera flashes revealed she was braless at the Mother's Day film premiere in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Wednesday (13Apr16).

"When you're feelin (sic) yourself but your Gel Petals wanna steal the show #dying #notmynipples #freethenipplecover," she captioned a shot of her nipple covers on Instagram on Thursday.

The High School Musical star confessed to Entertainment Tonight that her stylist told her not to wear the nipple covers, and called the social media frenzy over her unexpected exposure ridiculous.

"I literally saw the pictures on Twitter start coming up, and I literally started laughing,” she said on Friday (15Apr16). "I was like, ‘Of course this would happen to me!’ Like, of course. But it’s just one of those things that you have to laugh at. It’s so ridiculous."

"I mean my stylist said, ‘Do not wear those. You will see them,'" she added. "It was an option in the bag, though. I was like, ‘Oh, it’s an option. Maybe they felt like I could.’ But no!"

Ashley made sure she didn't make the same mistake again at the 23rd Annual Race to Erase MS Gala in Beverly Hills on Friday, which she attended with husband Christopher French.

Pointing to her bralette she was wearing underneath her long-sleeve crochet gown, she joked, "This is intentional tonight."
