Ashlee Simpson to play Roxie Hart at the Hollywood Bowl

Ashlee Simpson is to reprise her stage role as Roxie Hart in Brooke Shields' Chicago spectacular at the Hollywood Bowl.
The singer/actress will join Stephen Moyer, Lucy Lawless, Samantha Barks and Drew Carey in the upcoming production, which will run for three nights at the fabled Los Angeles venue at the end of July (26-28Jul13), according to BroadwayWorld.com.
Simpson made her professional stage debut as Roxie Hart in the West
End production of Chicago in 2006. She reprised the role for her
Broadway debut.
Shields, who also starred in Chicago on the London and New York
stages, will make her directorial debut by taking charge of the
show.
