Ariel Winter sells house for $1.65 million

Modern Family actress Ariel Winter has reportedly sold her Los Angeles house for $1.65 million .

The actress who played Alex Dunphy in the award-winning sitcom has sold the property in Sherman Oaks after she moved into a $2.7 million ( £2 million) 5,000-square-foot, five bedroom and five bathroom house in nearby Studio City.

Ariel is leaving behind the 3,200 square feet open plan home in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood that boasts a swimming pool and spa in the garden.

The spacious property also has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with the main bedroom leading to the garden through a set of glass doors. There is also a walk-in closet, and a bathroom with a his and her sink and bath big enough for two.

The new owners will be able to enjoy the dining room with a glass-walled walk-in wine cellar and an open planned kitchen which has been fitted with marble counter-tops and designer stainless steel appliances.

It's not the only recent change for Ariel -the 19-year-old actress had recently switched her hair color back from auburn to black and she will be returning to the University of California this autumn to continue her studies.

She revealed to Imagista magazine if she wasn't so busy with acting, she would have loved to have become a full-time student.

"I think I would be working towards becoming a prosecutor," she told the magazine in a recent interview.

"I can relate to my character on Modern Family and I love that she is super studious I think it is something important for us to be promoting nowadays."
