Anna Kendrick: 'Fans don't expect me to be like perfect Taylor Swift'

Anna Kendrick would fail miserably if she had to be like Taylor Swift.

The quirky actress has become known for her eccentric one liners on Twitter, and never shies away from telling it like it is. She memorably shocked fans when she joked about masturbating in the back of a cinema while watching a Ryan Gosling film.

Because of her dry sense of humor, 30-year-old Anna admits she could never be “the perfect Miss America” type of girl, like singer Taylor.

“There are times where someone will be like, ‘Do that thing! You know, do your thing!’ I get mildly annoyed by that. But on a greater scale, I’m lucky that’s (my) reputation; when I’m snarky with people, they know that’s just how I communicate,” she smiled to British magazine The Edit.

“I’d be terrible at being like Taylor Swift, the perfect Miss America version of interacting with fans and making sure they have a good experience. I mean, I don’t want people to meet me and have it (mess) up their day, but I’m glad I can say something weird to them and they know that’s just me," she explained.

Anna’s movie choices are also a little offbeat, and she’s become the go-to girl for roles that go against the Hollywood norm.

Next she can be seen in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, opposite Zac Efron and her Pitch Perfect co-star Adam Devine.

Over the years Anna has worked with everyone from George Clooney to Meryl Streep, both of whom she has praised, but admits not everyone is that easy to team up with.

“I’m surprised I don’t have blisters on my tongue! Some people have a funny reputation, and they are so lovely that I want to shake people and go, ‘No, he’s one of the good ones!’” she confessed.

“Then there are the ones who have these stellar reputations and I’m like, ‘That is a (jerk) of the highest order!’ But I cannot say it.”
