Amy Schumer pranked Kanye West for attention

Funnywoman Amy Schumer pranked Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on the red carpet at a glitzy showbiz event because she wanted some attention as everyone was ignoring her.

The comedienne was among the guests at the Time 100 Gala in New York in April (15) but she became increasingly annoyed when critics absent-mindedly interviewed her while looking for more famous stars approaching.

Eventually she decided to steal the limelight from one of the most high-profile star couples at the event by throwing herself to the ground in front of West and Kardashian and the assembled photographers.

Schumer tells U.K. talk show host Graham Norton, "I was invited as one of the Time 100 most influential people even though no one here has heard of me! I was on the red carpet doing interviews and the journalists were looking past me to see if someone more important was behind me. So all the reporters went crazy for Kim and Kanye and I've always thought falling over is the funniest things, so I took a dive in front of them. I couldn't help myself. They didn't crack a smile which confirms they had no idea who I was, which is a relief!"
