Selena Gomez 'frustrated' with rehab 'lies'

Pop star Selena Gomez has expressed her frustration amid false tabloid reports suggesting she is heading back to rehab to deal with an alcohol addiction, blasting the allegations as "lies".

The Come and Get It hitmaker, who turned to professionals for help with emotional issues last year (14), hit headlines again this week (begs01Jun15) when rumors surfaced in America's Life & Style magazine alleging her partying had spun out of control.

A source told the publication, "She is a ticking time bomb. Selena doesn't seem to be able to recover from all this on her own - and she's being forced into rehab for her issues."

A representative for Gomez has assured GossipCop.com the claims are not true, and on Thursday (04Jun15), the singer took to her Instagram.com account to set the record straight with fans herself.

She posted a photo of some flowers beside the phrase, "I want to claim my own name", and in the caption, she wrote, "Sometimes I get frustrated when I hear lies about who I am. The Internet is meant to keep you 'updated' but it just takes old news and freezes it like it's now.

"You have watched me in pain and I've owned up to it through my music and actions. I grew up with you. I am beyond excited to show you the next chapter, the TRUTH. I've been keeping so many secrets...I'm reborn in every moment so who knows what I'll become...As long as I'm happy with me. #strongisbeautiful #healthyperspectiveonthemfools (sic)."
