Amber Heard issued with summons in Australia for importing dogs
Amber Heard has been issued with a court summons for taking two dogs into Australia with her husband Johnny Depp.
The couple came under fire from authorities Down Under in May (15) when it was discovered they had taken two Yorkshire terriers named Pistol and Boo into the country without filling out paperwork or going through proper quarantine procedures.
They flew the dogs back to the U.S. after Agriculture Minister
Barnaby Joyce threatened to put the animals down if they remained
in the country, where Depp was filming the next Pirates of the
Caribbean movie.
Heard was served with a court summons by the Commonwealth Director
of Public Prosecutions on Tuesday (14Jul15) on two charges of
illegal importation and one count of producing a false
document.
She has been asked to attend Southport Magistrates Court in
Queensland on 7 September (15).
