Amanda Bynes stands by sexual harassment allegations

Embattled actress Amanda Bynes is standing by her allegations of sexual harassment by an arresting officer following her drug bust in New York last Thursday (23May13), despite the fact authorities have found no evidence to support her accusations.

The Hairspray star was taken into custody and charged with marijuana possession, attempted tampering with physical evidence and reckless endangerment, after reportedly throwing a bong out of the window of her apartment as police raided her home following reports she had been smoking marijuana in the building's lobby.

Bynes later took to her Twitter.com page to rant about the arrest, claiming a male officer "slapped my vagina", prompting police chiefs to launch an investigation into the allegations.

On Monday (27May13) they announced that they had a witness to dispute the actress' statement, and now a second source has come forward to lend further support to the arresting officers.

New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne says, "A second credible civilian witness escorted police to the door of the apartment and inside the apartment. (He was) with the officers at all times and witnessed no untoward actions by the officers."

But Bynes is refusing to let the issue go. Logging back on to Twitter on Tuesday (28May13), she insisted her lawyer is in the process of having her counts dismissed in exchange for her not pressing charges against the arresting officer - although she is still planning to sue him.

She writes, "My lawyer is getting my case dropped! There was no proof of sexual harassment or drugs. Instead of me asking for the cop to be arrested for sexual harassment, I want my case dropped as well. His punishment will be being the cop who sexually harassed someone who would never find him handsome enough to be my boyfriend. That's worse than any time in jail. But I am suing him for money compensation. I love having more money in my bank!"
