Aloe Blacc signs on to music documentary

Singer Aloe Blacc is heading to the big screen in a documentary about music culture in the U.S.

America's Treasures will feature the Love Is The Answer singer traveling across the country to meet with musicians and innovators in the industry. He will visit areas including New York City, Miami, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee, and artists including Gloria and Emilio Estefan and the late Louis Armstrong will be featured in the film.

"Music is an essential part of the human experience, and I look forward to helping audiences discover the unique cultural influences that gave rise to jazz, the blues, folk, and other American musical genres," he says. "I love the freedom of expression in this country, which is a source of creativity and innovation unlike anywhere else."

The movie is currently in production and will be released in February (18), according to Variety.com.
