British pop star Alexandra Burke is set to channel blues legend Billie Holiday for a series of special shows at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The Bad Boys hitmaker is set to perform the soundtrack from 1972 Holiday biopic Lady Sings The Blues, in which Diana Ross played the singer to much acclaim.
Burke says, "I am so excited to be performing these concerts in
such an iconic venue.
"It is an honor to be able to sing Billie Holiday's songs and I
feel a very strong emotional attachment to them. Music is my life
and I love doing different and surprising things, so I can't wait
to get on stage and sing these amazing and timeless songs."
She will take to the stage at the venue's Elgar Room from 4 - 8
June (13).
