Adam Levine reveals secrets for a happy marriage

Adam Levine has revealed his top tip for a happy marriage - understanding that the woman is always right.

The Maroon 5 frontman wed Victoria’s Secret model Behati in a lavish Mexico ceremony in July 2014, after becoming engaged one year earlier.

The pair seem to be happier than ever, so who better for season nine The Voice winner Jordan Smith to ask for marriage advice? Jordan was mentored by Adam on the program, and proposed to girlfriend Kristen Denny over the New Year (15).

During a clip obtained by People.com, Jordan asks Adam: "Hey Adam, I'm getting married. Got any marriage advice for me, coach?"

"Congratulations entering the world of marriage, Jordan Smith," Adam replies. "Listen to the woman, man. She's always right. Even when you don't always think that's the case, make her feel like it is. Trust me."

Adam and Behati frequently flaunt their love for one another on their social networking pages. In a previous interview, Behati insisted Adam's proposal couldn't have been more perfect.

"It was very simple, there was nothing crazy," she told Access Hollywood. "It was the way that I wanted it. He called my dad. It was very nice."

While the engagement was perfect, the early days of their courtship were a lot more complex. The duo communicated via email for weeks before they were able to meet in person. When they finally did see each other in real life, it was slightly uncomfortable.

"We kind of started talking over email, back and forth for months. I was kind of making fun of him. We talked over email for such a long time and then went to LA and we met for the first time," the Namibian model explained. "When we met finally, face to face, he was shooting the boxing music video, One More Night, I think it was, so he had gloves on. And I walked through the door and was like, 'What am I doing here?' And he had his gloves on and was like, 'This is awkward, hi!'”
