Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo share first photo of Dusty Rose

Singer Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo have introduced fans to their newborn daughter Dusty Rose with a sweet photo on social media.

The proud parents posted the snap on Instagram on Friday evening (23Sep16), showing their newborn baby resting on her father's bare tattooed chest.

"Words can't describe Dusty Rose Levine 9/21/16," 27-year-old model Behati captioned the black and white shot, including the date of her daughter's birth.

The Maroon 5 frontman shared the same snap on his Instagram account, simply writing alongside the father-daughter portrait, "Dusty Rose Levine 9/21/16."

The 37-year-old singer and the Victoria's Secret stunner welcomed their first child on Wednesday (21Sep16) in California, a day after Behati's due date.

"Adam was in the delivery room holding Behati's hands. They both cried when she was born. Both families are there now," an insider told E! News. "She is beautiful. She looks like Behati.

"They are both speechless on how this moment feels as new parents. Dusty is healthy, sweet and happy baby!"

The Namibian model's pregnancy was first made public in March (16), and both she and Adam have been keeping fans updated throughout their journey to parenthood via social media ever since.

Adam recently shelved a series of concerts with Maroon 5 as he prepared to become a dad, so he could be by Behati's side when she went into labor.

The band postponed seven shows originally scheduled for late September (16), with those gigs now taking place in February and March next year (17). They also scrapped a gig on Monday (19Sep16) in Hartford, Connecticut.

The couple wed in 2014 after two years of dating.
