Aaron Paul thanks fans at Breaking Bad finale screening party

Actor Aaron Paul thanked Breaking Bad fans for helping to raise $1.8 million for charity from ticket sales to a special screening of the final episode on Sunday (29Sep13).

As millions of fans sat down to watch the finale of the hard-hitting show, Paul was hosting an event for superfans at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in California.

The show's star Bryan Cranston and its creator Vine Gilligan were among the revellers, who enjoyed doughnuts and bags of cotton candy 'blue meth' - a nod to the series' drug production theme.

After the program bowed out, Paul took to Twitter to write, "Last episode ever of Breaking Bad. It would not be possible without all of you. Thank you all for the amazing ride."

Tickets to the event sold out in minutes earlier this month (Sep13), and profits will go towards his wife Lauren's anti-bullying organization, The Kind Campaign.

The show has amassed a cult following over five seasons following its debut in 2008.
