Aaron Carter signs on for more The Fantasticks

Singer Aaron Carter will spend the rest of the year (12) onstage in New York after extending his run in Off-Broadway show The Fantasticks once again.

The former child star initially joined the long-running musical last November (11) for a three-month stint, but he has repeatedly re-signed with show producers and they have now secured Carter for another holiday season.

Announcing the news on his Twitter.com blog, he writes, "I will be staying With @TheFantasticks show for the remainder of the year. If your (sic) in Nyc You'll know where to find me!"

The 24 year old will portray the character of Matt until 27 January (13).
