50 Cent serves Thanksgiving meals to Sandy victims
50 Cent was among the stars who spent America's Thanksgiving holiday helping the victims of superstorm Sandy.
The rapper was in New York over the festive period and he joined in a charity event on Wednesday (21Nov12) to give out free dinners to those affected by last month's (Oct12) disaster ahead of the holiday on Thursday (22Nov12).
50 Cent handed out meals and posed for pictures with attendees at
the event, titled the Our Table Is Yours Thanksgiving Dinner in
connection with the Feeding America charity and America's Food
Network.
He wrote in a post on his Twitter.com page, "Volunteering w/ (with)
Feeding America today. 1 in 6 Americans faces hunger. $1 to Feeding
America helps provide 8 meals."
Other stars who helped the needy over the holiday include Beastie
Boys rapper Mike D, who spent his Thanksgiving Day (22Nov12)
volunteering in Far Rockaway, New York, an area which was badly hit
by Sandy, while Neil Patrick Harris, Malin Akerman and Hilary Duff
all handed out meals to the homeless in Los Angeles.
