50 Cent blasts Emmy voters for snubbing Power

50 Cent has blasted officials at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences after his TV series Power was left out of the Emmy Awards nominations.

The In Da Club hitmaker serves as an executive producer on the drug drama, which just wrapped its second season, and as many TV stars and executives get ready for Sunday's (20Sep15) big prizegiving, he's a little sore to be outside looking in.

The rapper took to Instagram.com on Thursday (17Sep15) to express his anger towards academy members who failed to recognize his show.

He wrote, "Man these people act like POWER ain't s**t. See why I be trippin (acting crazy) I saw that trophy in the store for $20 bucks I'm gonna just go buy one f**k it."

Earlier this month (Sep15), 50 Cent posted a photo of him holding a coveted Emmy trophy in his hand, and wrote, "G-unit Film and Television I'm gonna Win one of these for POWER. Its the best Original series on (TV)."

Although Power has not received a lot of recognition from awards shows, the season two premiere, which aired in June (15), was the most-watched episode of an original series in the history of the Starz cable network.
