50 Cent & Meryl Streep hang out together at basketball game

50 Cent made an unlikely new friend when he found himself sitting next to Meryl Streep at a basketball game on Sunday evening (26Jan14).

The odd couple was spotted courtside at the New York Knicks/Los Angeles Lakers clash at Madison Square Garden.

One fan who was sitting just behind the star couple says, "It appeared to be a thrill for both of them. At one point they actually held hands while enjoying a joke."

50 Cent shared images of himself with his new pal on his Instagram page, writing, "Man I got a good life."

The new friends even hung out together after the game - 50 posted images of himself and Streep meeting Lakers star Kobe Bryant.

He captioned one shot, "Best Ball KOBE, Best Rap 50, Best Actress Meryl Streep. TOP THAT."
