2 Chainz drops mixtape early to beat bootleggers
2 Chainz has been forced to put his mixtape out ahead of schedule to beat the bootleggers.
The No Lie rapper announced the imminent arrival of mixtape Daniel Son; Necklace Don on Instagram.
2 Chainz, real name Tauheed Epps, teased the project by posting an
hilarious text exchange between himself and Drake. After hearing
the tape was dropping on Apple Music, Drake responded with a flurry
of praising hand emojis and hooked 2 Chainz up with a contact to
connect with at Apple.
Daniel Son; Necklace Don was due to drop on Friday (05Aug16) but
instead it arrived late on Thursday night. The Atlanta, Georgia
rapper shared the Soundcloud link for the new 10-track project on
his Twitter account along with a post that read: "Since the
bootleggers wanna f*k (sic) up my release time here yall go...
Daniel Son ; Necklace Don."
Drake is a featured artist lending his talents to the track Big
Amount while YFN Lucci guests on You In Luv Wit Her.
The mixtape comes months after the March release of ColleGrove, 2
Chainz’ third studio album, a collaborative project with Lil
Wayne.
