SXSW Blackberry Wrap-up*

You're always hanging out with us at our Young Hollywood studio at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles. Well, now we've teamed up with BlackBerry and we are taking the show on the road. We're going to give you the ultimate playbook to South by Southwest and we're doing it all from the Four Seasons in Austin. With a view like this, how could you want to be anywhere else? Oh, isn't it beautiful? It's going to be an amazing experience. It really is. You need to go outside because it's really beautiful out there. There's an excitement, I think. I mean, this festival is just such a great energy. And they come and they realize and they play. South by is always unleashing like new things. I know, I wonder what. Do you guys know what the new things are? We do have a sneak peek. What? Oh, this is the new BlackBerry Playbook. Pretty rad. I've heard, I've heard about this, the the playbook. We're getting the wrong way though. Oh. The BlackBerry Playbook. Wow, that's cool. I know. That's nice. What is that? This is the BlackBerry Playbook. What is that by the way? You're going to our playing with the new BlackBerry Playbook earlier. So cool. It's like, it's so small. You're a superstar on Twitter.

Hey guys, Jess here at the Food Spotting Festival at the BlackBerry party at South by Southwest, to show all the excited festival goers, the new BlackBerry Playbook.

You just got to demo the new BlackBerry Playbook.

I actually just had so much fun playing it. It's like this racing car game. It's um, Need for Speed. Yes. I was loving it. To me, this, this changes the whole video game. Like no more controllers, it's all interactive.

I'm a loyal, loyal BlackBerry disciple and I have to say I'm really excited some of their touchscreen devices, particularly the Playbook. I've been waiting to get my hands on one. Oh my God. Wow, this really worked. Well, this is my first time. I've seen it on YouTube. It's a nice portable size. Now that I actually played with it now I want one, you know, so.

Full flash, um, support means that you get content just like you would on your PC or your desktop. So if you're on Facebook on this thing, you can get like Facebook chat, all the FarmVille you can handle. Being able to run applications in the background, uh, especially things like Excel or a video, you know, if you're going back to it and listening to it while you're working is really nice.

I love South by Southwest. It's like a whole new like energy. It's fun to be here.

Just right here is one of the games, it's called Need for Speed. Go on. Much better at these things than I am. Oh my. Oh, yeah. That that blew your mind. I know. Completely.

Oh yeah, there's a Just stop. There you go to the pub. Go to the pub. See, that's when you need the Playbook because you can record it and I'm going to take a little picture of you guys. I love that thing. Dude, it is the coolest thing ever. Dare I say, is it cooler than the iPad? Look, look who we have on there. Who knew?

Yeah, I like it so much more now. They're great, actually. I like how small it is.

Alicia Roman who dominated your TV screen and your movie screen with High School Musical. Would you guys record an entire album on something so small like the BlackBerry Playbook?

Yeah, man. I mean the stuff it sounds really good.

Because the Gorillaz made an entire album on a tablet. Is that something you guys would do?

If you gave us one. It's kind of amazing nowadays how good the stuff sounds. We'll make like 10 albums. We'll be DJing. 10 albums.

Don't buy Southwest. You should be updating your Twitter right now. We've got, we have to get you one of these BlackBerry Playbooks because you can update all your social media.

When someone asks you for their BBM, that's like so personal. It's like, yo, only my close people get my pin. Nowadays you can easily just scan each other's barcode. Things could be very misinterpreted through texting if you don't use emoticons.

It's like this is so meta, I'm taping people tape us. Oh no, we're going to get a picture of you guys. Smile. We're kissy face in the background, you know, like that works too.

I do. I do. I'm blessed. I do love what I do. Yeah. I do. I love having, I love being able to flip around, you know. You never work a day in your life if you love what you do. You you can't that that excitement when you get on stage and you actually, this is a song that I've written or this is a track that I've made, there's nothing that beats that. Because a festival like this are real generational experiences and I think it's, it's it's a good snapshot of uh where culture's at right now.

There's so many things that I love about my job. I'm so lucky for so many reasons. It's just, it's such an adventure. I've been lucky enough to go to 21 countries on tour. I love making music. I love um, creating things in the studio. I love performing music live.
