All right, Jay here in your RPM Hollywood Studio. This one doesn't need much of an introduction. Sigourney Weaver. Hi, hanging out as well. You like that hanging out?

I do. I like this couch. It's a good place to hang out.

You know, you've obviously had this incredible body of work and you're still at the top of your game after all these years. What do you what do you think the key has been to that though? Because a lot of people, you know, are up and they're down, you're just you're steady in the no.

Oh, you're very kind. I think I've been incredibly fortunate. And I love our business and I love working with people in our business. So, um, and I think I have wonderful agents who bless their hearts think I can do anything. Don't tell them. But and I I just love I love going from comedy to drama to adventure, you know, I love doing movies that I'd like to see, that's sort of been my touchstone.

So, little, little movie here. Avatar. Yes, now a little more of the little movie about nine minutes more. And I've seen it and it's really awesome. How cool is that though, that like you do a film but now it's almost like a new movie. Just nine little minutes and now it changes the entire experience.

Well, I think it'll just be more of what we loved about the first Avatar and um, these these uh, scenes were scenes that Jim really wanted to have in the movie but he didn't wanna torture people by making them stay more than two hours and 45 minutes and I think people were hungry for more and this has the Sturmbeests hunt, which is like being inside a buffalo hunt, except the Sturmbeests are even bigger and more powerful. And 3D that's just got to be awesome.

It is so awesome.

It's like huge breathing bumper cars all going flat out. I mean it's just an astonishing sequence. You can't believe it's probably the most visceral thing in Avatar except for the flying.

So do you think acting is more challenging now because of all this new technology or or it was more challenging you know, years ago when it didn't exist?

It's easy to get distracted by oh this technology or that technology but I think actually what we do, the core of what we do is to find the essence of the truth and to give the audience the sort of sharpness of the experience, whatever it is in whatever new form. I think acting is even more valuable to these big films, you know, which, um, we make the special effects sing. And I think with what Jim Cameron is is, um, is introducing this new technology, it's very actor inspired. That's why he calls it performance capture, not motion capture.

Perfect. It's what's inside that counts. And I like the way you say we make the effects sing. That's a that's a poet to it.

Well, thank you. I just made that up, but I think that's that's how it feel, it feels like they need us to complete the effect and make it real.

Now, I mean, did you ever think this film would just be everywhere? I mean it's crazy. Like I literally I get a new phone, the Galaxy phone and it it actually comes No kidding. with Avatar on it. Wow. And how insane is that? You mean the whole film? The entire film. Oh my God. It's everywhere. You ever think that the film would be that big?

Yeah. You know, I read the script and I thought, this is the most awesome ambitious script I've ever read and if anyone can pull this off, it's Jim but I think that I underestimated the emotional power of 3D. 3D is kind of like a novelty. Right. It still is being used by Hollywood of sort of drilling in a kind of physical experience but really what's astonishing about what Jim has done is he gives you the physical immersive experience, but it's a compliment to the very deep moving emotional experience of the story and I think that's why it's just light years ahead.

That really is. And the funnier die video, which if you've not seen, you have to go see for the new movie You Again. Hilarious.
