Hey, uh, this is Shane Harper, I'm hanging out at the Four Seasons with Young Hollywood, and, uh, I'm gonna play my single for you. It's called, "One Step Closer."
Alright, Vitor Medina here with Young Hollywood. With the man himself, Shane Harper, how are you? What's up? How's it going?
Not bad.
In the ballroom at Four Seasons. This is quite swanky, not gonna lie.
Just for you. Very swanky. All of your surroundings are just bringing me down. You got me down.
Grayson Chance, in fact. Yeah, yeah. Sat on, not that chair, the stool and played the piano. Played the piano. Who you're now opening up for, touring with.
Yeah, yeah, we're on tour with, uh, yeah, Grayson Chance and Cody Simpson and, uh, yeah, incredibly talented guys and it's been nothing but a blast.
Any funny tour stories?
I think Grayson and Cody might have more funny stories with it because they, they share a bus. So, I think they might have more funny stories. Oh, I'm in a van. Oh, sure.
We've got to change that.
I am in a van. But it's great though. It's really good.
Okay. Are you happy with the van, cause I was gonna make some calls and try and get you in a bus. You know.
Yeah, no. Go ahead and do that. Okay. I'd fly to the moon. I'd be your green goblin for blue. Just to get one step closer to you.
One step closer, yeah. One Step Closer. Yeah. Single to and then your, your new record. Tell us about your, uh.
We didn't, I didn't even know I was actually writing for like a record, record. They were just like, you know, go write songs, you know, see if you can write songs that don't suck. You know. Just basically, you know. But then we'll give you a record, record. Yeah, yeah, and then, you know, I didn't, so I didn't even know. So we were just sessioning for fun and, you know, we came across One Step Closer and obviously when we played it for everyone they were like, "Oh, this is the single." Adam Anders worked on it, right? He signed me as he was doing the pilot for Glee and I remember us sitting at a coffee bean with, you know, in a meeting with him and he goes, "Yeah, well, you know, we'll get in the studio." He's like talking about scheduling. He's like, "I'm doing this pilot for Fox." It's called Glee. I remember thinking, "Glee, that sounds weird." Yeah. Yeah, sounds like a really strange. Yeah. And now it's the biggest thing in the world, like I remember that day thinking to myself, I can't believe that's the same Glee that we that the world knows. And now you're in my arms. I knew it from the start. Well, I'd never break your heart, no. If this ain't love, then nothing else is. I'd do anything for just one kiss.
And now obviously a lot of us know you from Good Luck Charlie. You gonna go back?
Yeah, man. I mean there, they I just did an episode, uh, like last week. They keep having me back. It's really, it's really rad. I mean, we when I started out on the I got cast in the pilot when I was like 15 and a half or or just turning 16. It worked season two and they still have me back on the show a bunch. So, um, I'll just I'm always like, "Guys, I'll go back whenever you have." Cause it's the funnest set. Those those guys are are, I mean, they're incredible.
Now, you play piano, play guitar, sing, act and you're a bit of a karate.
Karate, yeah. Karate. I I do it karate, yeah. Karate. Yeah, karate. Uh, yeah, I did I did martial arts. I started martial arts when I was, uh, I just remember as a young kid kicking things. I always wanted to kick stuff and so I would really.
Let's let him kick someone. Let's let him kick stuff. Good parents. So they throw, yeah. I know what. Let's kick people. Oh, thanks for coming in.
Thank you for having me. Thank you.
And uh, thanks buddy.
Thank you, man. Really appreciate it. Yeah, I'd fly to Superman. Just to hold your hand. I'd have to get one step closer to you.
