What's going on, guys, hanging with me right now. I have Mr. Michael Ray. What's up, Michael?

What's up? How are you doing?

I'm good. How are you doing?

Great.

So I have to bring up, we actually saw you last at Coastal Country Jam. Back in Huntington Beach. It was great. I was doing social media. I had my phone. You made eye contact with it for Young Hollywood. You guys probably remember that. It was awesome. So you just performed "Get To You."

Yeah.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Mhm. Which honestly, I believe is one of my favorite songs you've ever released. The lyrics are just so beautiful and you can really like hear your emotion through the song. Can you tell me more about the song? Like what was the lyric writing process for that one?

Thank you. Well, two of my buddies actually wrote that song. I just happen to have lived it. When you're making a country album, you know, if you're either getting married or something. You know, something monumental is going in your life. That's that's kind of a good place to draw from. And for me, I was going through a breakup at the time and so it's a song that I felt was something that people needed to hear, that you go through life and you kind of hold up your walls and you hold up what you what you go through and and it's just somebody telling the person that they love, "Hey, listen. I don't know what it is, but I'm trying to, you know, get to you and figure out what it is that's stopping you to love and be who you are and who you're made to be. And I hope that we can find it together. And hopefully, I'm the one that you want to be within the end. But if not, I just, you know, want you to shine and find love and love full-heartedly like you're meant to."

Yes. Cuz there's always gonna be some pain. Little sunshine, little rain. Doesn't mean it ain't worth it, babe. I'm trying. I'm trying to get to you. You. I actually asked Twitter for help for some fan questions and one actually stood out. She said, "When you sing songs about breakups and you're you're living it and you're performing it every night. Does how do you get over that? Is that more like therapeutic for you, like as an artist?"

Okay. Mhm. Yeah, for me it's definitely therapeutic. For me, always being on stage. I grew up in a family that was a music, very musical family. They had a band. My dad, grandpa, uncle, and cousins. So, yeah, all through Central Florida. And for me, you know, my parents got divorced when I was a young kid and and being able to kind of be on stage was my getaway through everything. If I was performing, I was on stage. Nothing could there's no nothing bad, nothing was wrong. And and so for me, it's always music's always been that therapeutic thing for me. And being on stage has always been that. So kind of singing about it helped is my way of talking about it, I guess. You know, I'm not a big talker when it comes to some of that stuff. So my my way of getting it off my chest and going through it for myself is being able to sing it every night and connect with the fans and have a fan come up to me and tell me a similar story.

Wow.

One day you'll gonna love again. Let somebody. Take every part of your own world. Think it's unthinkable, girl. But somebody's gonna break those walls. Somebody's gonna watch you fall. Gonna give it your all. And I hope that I'm around. You finally find out when you run away. Run away from love. What the hell are you so scared of?

We actually got to talk to one of your buddies, Chad Michael Murray. Oh. We love this guy. Okay, we've had him a few times, but this most recent time he came in and he said that he loved your music. You guys are like best friends. And he said that you gave him a sneak peek of your new music. Yeah. Do we get that sneak peek? And also when are you releasing the album?

Well, we're we're looking We go back in in a couple weeks and we're we're gonna be wrapping it up.

You have a thing called Wrigley Cares. Yeah. Which I want to bring a spotlight on because I'm a huge animal lover. So can you tell the people at home what it's about?

Yeah, we Wrigley Cares is is a foundation that we started. We partnered with Zappos for Good and they've helped us find the local no-kill shelter in a local city that we're in. We have a bin that we come and we just encourage fans to bring dog food, cat food, toys, blankets, whatever they can. Guy brings a pallet full of dog food and a truck bed full of dog food and these ladies are making no-stitch blankets for the dogs and within a month, we fed over 150,000 meals and and it's been growing ever since. So, yeah, it's been incredible.

Oh my gosh. Yeah. Well, it's safe to say you have a big heart and a huge talent. Thank you, Michael. Thank you so much for hanging out.
