Maddie Hasson Reveals "Twisted" Plot Hints

Wait, I'm already getting made fun of by Maddie here. We were we were talking Beyonce. Like this is my Beyonce dance, but it's like hard to do it seated because you really have to have the booty shake down. You're so upright. You're like I don't want anything to fall out. It's not easy to do what Beyonce does. But yeah, we were talking about Beyonce. You're you used to be a dancer and a singer, didn't you? Didn't you do a lot of musical theater before you came to this big crazy town?

Yeah. I did, um, dance for eight years.

So you could do the Beyonce.

Yeah, I did. I used to run around the house naked when I was little and just like shake my ass. My dad was really scared. Really scared. He was so terrified.

I love him so much. I'm hooked on the show now. It's like one of those shows that you just you watch one episode and it's like, one more. One more. It's so twisted. It's so twisted.

It is so twisted. I know you've talked about the similarities between you and your character. How you sort of say there's an awkwardness. I don't see it, but you you've talked about that. The angst, the awkwardness. What do you think is the biggest difference? Like, do you ever like look at what she does and just go, what are you thinking?

Yeah. Yeah. Like, a lot. Especially how she just kind of like bounces from dude to dude. She's just like, oh, now Rego likes me. Maybe I like him, too. Like, I don't know. You would just never do that. I mean, I'm not going to say that because that's not true. I like boys, but um The awkwardness is not there at all. Uh, Joe is probably a lot shyer than I am. And she's I don't know, she's just more of a teen. She's less mature. I would like to say.

Exactly. I don't know. What can you tease? Can you tease anything about the rest of the season?

Um, there's more to Charlie McBride. I had to think about that for a second. Yes. Okay. Um, than it seems. He is actually a huge part of the season. Okay. Like, probably the biggest part. And Somebody has a baby.

No. Nobody gets pregnant, but there's a baby involved. There's a baby. Somebody has a baby. I don't know. There's a child.

When you got into the business at first, you were doing musicals and I love this story, like your mom, there was a manager. From LA. Is he still your manager, the same guy?

Yeah.

And he came out to see you and he basically begged your mom, but your mom is so southern. She was like, hell no. She's not coming out to LA.

Well, the thing was like, uh I met him. I like auditioned for a movie randomly for the first time in North Carolina. And the casting director introduced me to him over the phone. And he watched some of my tapes. He really liked me. So he was like calling my mom every day, like trying to get her to let me come out to LA. And she just and she was like, hell no, like you might be a pedophile. I'm not going to let her go out there. Um, so he flew out and he watched one of my school plays and like had dinner with my family and he's really nice.

Well, better that than having a stage mom that was like, go. See what ever happens. Have a great time. Have fun. You know, maybe you'll come back, maybe you won't.

No, she gave me a month in LA when we finally went.

Since we're talking about home. The food is definitely a plus. Seeing my mom and my dad and my oldest sister and like all of our pets, that's great, too. But I don't know. It's just like an East Coast thing. The weather changes. The air is like thick with humidity. It smells nicer. It rains a lot. It snowed while I was there. I'm an East Coast girl.

I know. Plus I live by the beach, too.
