Madeleine Duke. How's Outbound been for you?

Madalen Duke

It's been so fun. I've never been, this is my first time. Yeah. I've never been to Austin before too, it's beautiful.

Young Hollywood

Okay.

Madalen Duke

Love the city.

Young Hollywood

Barbecue food?

Madalen Duke

Yes. Oh, yeah. No, not gluten-free or anything.

Young Hollywood

Your eyes are so beautiful. Look at look at her eyes. Are those real?

Madalen Duke

Thank you. Thank you. They are real.

Young Hollywood

Are those real?

Madalen Duke

Yes. I've been singing for years. Like 10, 15 years. Started writing when I was like 16. Yeah, it's been my thing for a long time, I love it. Yeah. Yeah. I just love like empowering girls and I, you know, I love writing for myself too but I love being able to have a message for other people. I know you've been talking, but I don't mind. And I know you've got them teeth on the side. I don't give around pull the trigger down. Cuz I ain't one of those just so I got you on my hands. They say that you're better than me. Right. Catch a bullet by me. Boom. Any time.

Young Hollywood

You're opening for Post Malone?

Madalen Duke

I did a few shows uh last week for him. Yeah, in Orange County.

Young Hollywood

In Orange County?

Madalen Duke

Yeah, it was fun.

Young Hollywood

What was that like?

Madalen Duke

It was crazy.

Young Hollywood

What was like backstage? Have you been backstage at a Post Malone show before?

Madalen Duke

So many people. I know that made your life crazy. Told you up front about my lifestyle, multiple lifestyle whiskey making that loud. Why is you tripping about? Every girl with me. What is the difference? That means I I don't really care about your hit list. I just put out "Hitlist" with Trinidad James and then "Gucci Store."

Young Hollywood

Do "Gucci Store" for us. "Gucci Store." Yeah. Anytime you put Gucci in a song. Huh? Anytime you just put the word Gucci in a song.

Madalen Duke

Exactly, right?

Young Hollywood

What had you what came first when you were writing that?

Madalen Duke

Um With that song, I mean, I just moved to LA. I'd just been been in LA for like a couple months and it's kind of a weird transition going from like being a, you know, kid in college to living out here and like making music. I don't know, it's just about like feelin' yourself and kind of the whole transition of being confident with what you're doing and not really having time for other people but still wanting that. But, you know what I mean, that whole like navigating that whole thing.

Young Hollywood

You're amazing.

Madalen Duke

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

Let's uh come hang out in LA. When you're in LA, we'll bring you over to the Four Seasons. Yes. We'll kick it. Let's do it. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. You're a rock star.

Madalen Duke

Thank you so much.
