Young Hollywood

Another devilishly handsome cast member from Lucifer, DB Woodside, hanging out with me on the couch.

DB Woodside

Your first time?

Young Hollywood

My very first time.

DB Woodside

On the Young Hollywood couch. Yeah, very nice. It's very comfortable.

Young Hollywood

Oh welcome. It is. It was just for you. It's all temporary actually.

DB Woodside

Thank you. Thank you. I really appreciate that.

Young Hollywood

We pull out all the stops. We've got you there you go. Yeah. Rockin' the no shirt hoodie look. Yeah. Is that is that a thing? Like do do you do that?

DB Woodside

It's an Amenadiel thing. It's not a DB thing but.

Young Hollywood

You know, we had your TV brother in. Yeah. Not too long ago, Tom.

DB Woodside

Mhm.

Young Hollywood

DB's just he's a great sport because I kinda pick on him a little bit as Lucifer. On screen you guys don't get along. Very much.

DB Woodside

Well, it's kinda like that big brother little brother relationship where it's rooted in love but yeah there's always that kinda tension.

Young Hollywood

Right. And you guys actually fight.

DB Woodside

We do.

Young Hollywood

Like it's it's physical.

DB Woodside

Yeah it is. Well it's it's like how little brothers and big brothers fight.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Did you grow up with brothers?

DB Woodside

I did. I have an older brother and we fought just like that.

Young Hollywood

Oh really? Yeah. So you've had some practice there.

DB Woodside

Yeah yeah. It just came naturally to you.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. I think I think that's the whole dynamic between brothers you know. On shoot days where you guys have to get you know into the really really physical scenes what what's that like for you?

DB Woodside

It's a lot of fun because I love Tom and uh you know we we have a lot of fun so it's hard for us sometimes to kinda get to act like we hate each other because we hang out all the time and he's just such a great guy.

Young Hollywood

Aww. What do you guys do when when the director is like

DB Woodside

We drink. Especially Lesley-Ann. Lesley-Ann Brandt.

Young Hollywood

Wow. What about Trisha? Trisha looks she's been in here before. She she's fun.

DB Woodside

Trisha can handle herself. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Just called you out. I love this. So this can go down the line.

DB Woodside

I'm the guy to come to. I'm the guy to come to.

Young Hollywood

Well, getting this role. I'm wondering because you got into acting because you actually had a football injury.

DB Woodside

I did. Yeah. I was a big football player. I love football. I wanted to go to to the pros. Go Cowboys. Sorry Tony. Sit down. Um so

Young Hollywood

You're a Cowboys fan?

DB Woodside

I'm a Cowboys fan. It's okay. You can throw the hate my way. I'm so used to it and we're doing so amazing this year. What about like a Texans fan? I would feel bad for you. I would feel bad for you.

Young Hollywood

Not not. I'm from a Patriot family but. I gotta go. Sorry. And we're done. No, so you really wanted to you took this really seriously then.

DB Woodside

I did. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

You weren't just playing.

DB Woodside

Well, I mean, you know, I think when I was in my twenties, yeah, there were there were a few years where I couldn't watch football because I really wanted to go and I suffered suffered an injury which ended my career but you know but then you realize life doesn't throw anything at you that you can't handle and so I just transitioned into something else and it turned to something else turned into this.

Young Hollywood

Right. But you're still you know keeping active. I saw you tweeted that you were at the gym.

DB Woodside

I was at the gym.

Young Hollywood

At like 10 10:00 at night. Who who does this? Number one. Someone who doesn't Number two, who does this? Like

DB Woodside

Um well Vancouver is like a very kind of uh it's a beautiful city, especially during the summer.

Young Hollywood

We've heard.

DB Woodside

Right? But then during the fall, it starts to become really dark and rainy and you know if you don't have a wife or a husband there's nothing else to do there. We just go to the gym.

Young Hollywood

Nice. Well because uh you are promoting Lucifer. Yeah. I wanted to play a little word association.

DB Woodside

Okay.

Young Hollywood

With the Seven Deadly Sins.

DB Woodside

Oh. Okay, so I'm gonna throw them at you. You just come back to me. I have a feeling they're all gonna be drinking but you know, it's

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Alright. Maybe not. Let's see. Okay okay. Uh lust.

DB Woodside

Lust. What comes to mind? Well, when you take a look at our cast, uh every single woman is absolutely gorgeous and the men aren't that bad to look at. You know, so so I think about the No, I think the cast Yeah. Yeah. We have a very attractive cast.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Gluttony. Gluttony. What are you what are you a glutton for?

DB Woodside

I'm gonna go back to this cast. Um when we decide to go out and have a good time and kinda get turnt up, I think we can sometimes maybe slightly overdo it and maybe pay for it the next morning.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Lesley-Ann. Lesley-Ann. We're calling you out again.

DB Woodside

Again. Wow. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Okay, greed. Greed.

DB Woodside

Um I wanna find a politically correct way to say this. I'd probably say greed would maybe apply more to the studios.

Young Hollywood

Oh shady shady. Yeah. Hashtag no shade. Hashtag all shade. Sloth. This is my my favorite deadly sin.

DB Woodside

Uh sloth would uh be I think how we all feel after working a really long week uh and we get that Sunday where we can like sit around and go watch some football and uh just just relax.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Uh wrath.

DB Woodside

Wrath would be Amenadiel. Oh. Amenadiel is God's wrath. So whenever you read about those stories in the Bible of God wiping out a town, it was Amenadiel that was sent down.

Young Hollywood

Amazing. Uh two more. Envy. Envy. Yeah. Um that's good. Are you envying anybody anybody you're envying in this?

DB Woodside

Anybody that I'm envious of. Lesley-Ann. Well, no. Uh uh I'm definitely not envious of Lesley-Ann. Clearly not. Um but I am envious of these amazing roles that are coming out right now with all these comic book characters in movies. So I'm envious of the Green Lantern role, which is this is my pitch right now to the WB and to DC Comic where there is no other black actor that can play the Green Lantern but DB Woodside. So let's make this happen. Hashtag DB Woodside.

Young Hollywood

DB Woodside for Green Lantern. Green Lantern. I love it. I love it. Last one pride.

DB Woodside

Pride. Uh I think the pride that we all feel in the success of the show. I mean, we all know seriously, like we all know how lucky we are. You know, blessed. Yes. So we're all kinda living in bliss right now. We all love each other. I'm sorry if that ruins it for people but we actually do love each other. We hang out together all the time and uh it's just one big family.

Young Hollywood

Do you have a favorite deadly sin?

DB Woodside

Unfortunately not. Oh. Not right now.

Young Hollywood

Oh, okay. Everything in moderation.

DB Woodside

Everything in moderation. Including moderation.

Young Hollywood

I like that. Including 10 pm workouts.

DB Woodside

Yes. Yeah.
