(upbeat music) What's goin' on, guys? Hangin' with me right now, I have Katherine McNamara and we are about to challenge her to our It Me Trivia Challenge. Katherine, this is how it works. You will have 10 seconds to answer these questions about you and the things you love. If you get it right, and within the 10 seconds, we're in the safe zone.
Okay.
If you don't get it right, or in the 10 seconds, we each have to take a jelly bean, which may or may not be really good or really gross.
Oh, are these the Bean Boozled? Oh, no.
Yeah, so there's a good 50/50 chance that we're gonna like hate this. (laughs) Or love it, you never know. No pressure. So, we're on the same team here, okay? We're not competing.
All right, I got you girl. I want you to get these right, all right?
Yeah, stretch it out. All right, all right, let's do this. I think she's ready. All right, here we go.
I hope.
We have been told by your fans that you love apples. So, which U. S. state produces the most apples? 10 seconds on the clock.
I mean, I think, I don't know if this is a trick question. I'm gonna say Washington and hope that's--
Yes. Okay, good. Nicely done, good job. You really love them.
I do.
I didn't know that before this.
No, I do, I'm quite the apple connoisseur.
Do you have any fun facts you can share?
Fun facts, I find Honeycrisp apples to be my favorite because they're the right balance of tart and sweet, and like their name, usually very crisp.
Oh, I like that. I go for Gala, is it Gala?
Oh yeah, those are great too. Those are solid. And they're mini, so they're like lunch box size, so good.
You guys should go get some apples. I mean I don't know. It's true. All right, next one. So this next one is in honor of your new Christmas project on Netflix, "Spirit Riding Free: Spirit of Christmas"
Amazing. Yay, we're so excited.
Okay so this one's fun. This is the question. The first artificial Christmas tree wasn't a tree at all. What was it actually made of? 10 seconds.
The first artificial Christmas tree, I'm gonna guess it was probably made of paper or plastic. Given the first--
Nope.
No? Aw dang it. 10 seconds. Oh no, what was it?
Okay, it was created out of goose feathers that were dyed green. And they were developed in Germany in the 19th century.
That is brilliant. (laughs)
I know, right. But, unfortunately, that means we have to eat a jelly bean.
I know, do you wanna go first? You're the guest, go for it. I'm trying to color logic here and I'm thinking. So I know a few, so the white ones could be coconut or spoiled milk. Okay, the peach ones might be peach, right? They might be. Or, do you know?
I think barf.
Okay. We're gonna take this risk right now. You go first. I'm gonna go peach, 'cause I think I can handle it.
Okay, I'm scared. I'm terrified. I don't know what this one is but I'll try it, similar colors. Cheers.
Oh, this is like stale popcorn or something. What'd you get?
Definitely taste like stale popcorn. Oh my God, did we get the same one? Wait it's changing, it's changing. This could be barf. (laughs)
Ew. Ew gross, yeah I don't know what this is.
All right, next one. "Jingle Bells" was actually not written for Christmas, but which holiday? 10 seconds.
Ooh, "Jingle Bells". I would guess that it would be written for maybe New Years, no?
Nope, keep going. (bell dings) Oh my God. (laughs) You wanna take another guess? Just for funsies.
She's like "No it's not in my head at all." It's so, no, what is it?
Thanksgiving.
I was gonna say that, but then I thought, no way there were Thanksgiving songs. Dang it.
Yeah, so the fun fact is it's written in 1857 and published under the title "One Horse Open Sleigh" and it was supposed to be played in a composers Sunday school class during Thanksgiving. And it was the first song to be broadcast from space?
Okay, that I did not know. That's really cool.
Yeah. All right, well I guess we're eating another jelly bean. You want to go first again?
Sure. I'm gonna try a green one 'cause, 'cause "Arrow".
There you go. Two for "Arrow". Cheers.
Cheers. It doesn't really taste like anything. I was about to say. I can't taste it over the lasting flavor of the other one. It's either grass, it could be lawn clippings. Could be pear, I'm not sure.
Okay well, the good news is is that you lost that one, but we still didn't have to really suffer. So good job. All right (laughs) Okay, next question. At Comic-Con in 2017, we, Young Hollywood, did a crazy interview with the "Shadowhunters" cast. See I knew this was gonna spark some emotion. Okay, where was this interview, where did it take place? 10 seconds.
This interview took place in a van, and in a stairwell and in an elevator and just about everywhere. And we caused a ruckus. We ran amuck, truly.
You did. We had a blast. I'm so glad you remember that 'cause it's like in Young Hollywood history. You guys are passing the mics around, we were trying to get all of you. It was so fun.
Hopefully in a goods way. (laughs) I'm not sure we actually talked about anything, but we certainly had fun. The "Shadowhunters" cast know how to have a good time. I'll tell you that much.
Next one, what was Clarys first line of "Shadowhunters" Season one, episode one? 10 seconds.
It was, "Hi, my name's Clary." And then I put my work on the table.
Ooh, we have a different answer here.
Uh-oh, chronologically that's the first line I think. (bell dings)
It is, hold on I have it, "Hey, can you watch where you're going?" There you go. That's the one. That's what we have from the Internet so it must be correct.
So in the, I think it was in editing, they changed the order of the script after we shot it.
Oh, okay.
So I had to double think. So fans and viewers, we saw it as this, but you actually said something else. We shot it differently. 'Cause chronologically, Clary goes to the art class and presents her work and then goes to the club. So in my head that's how it is. As opposed to, 'cause it starts and then it goes back 24 hours earlier and then plays the story again.
You should narrate more.
I should, yes, my hand gestures help.
Yeah, they really do. So, you technically got it wrong because it was after the 10 seconds and those are the rules, so.
Fair. Go for it. All right, I'm going blue. I'm gonna go with something else. All right. This weird multicolored one. I'm kind of nervous. Cheers. Oh mine's good, it's bubble gum. What's yours?
I think mine's cotton candy. Nice, slayed that one. Okay, next one.
Yes.
What was "Arrows" original premiere date? 10 seconds on the clock.
It was-- Month and year if you can. I'm gonna say it was August or, no, it was January of 2011. (bell dings) No. Did I get the year right?
Nope, We have October 10th of 2012. (laughs)
I can tell you that "Crisis on Infinite Earths" started on December 8th of 2019. 'Cause that date I know. All right, Katherine. We got to pick again. All right, wow. We only have one left though, we're doing pretty good.
I'm going for the other blue one 'cause that wasn't so bad.
I'm gonna go for this dark one. Okay, cheers. Oh my God. I think I just got dog food. Eww.
Okay, this is the last question that we have, ready?
Mm-hm.
When was your first visit to the Young Hollywood studio? The month and year, 10 seconds.
Okay, so it was after the "Shadowhunters" premiere or around then, so probably January of 2016.
Oh my God, she got it. Wow, you remember everything with us.
It's been always fun with you guys.
Thanks you so much Katherine for coming by. You literally killed It Me Trivia, we had some fun with these jelly beans.
We did indeed. Please tell the lovely fans where they can watch you.
Absolutely, be sure to stream "Spirit Riding Free: Spirit of Christmas" available on Netflix right now. It's really such a sweet holiday movie, I can't wait for people to see it. Go check it out, guys, you won't wanna miss it. (upbeat music)
